We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Research/Product Development Scientist to join our growing team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a scientist with some industry experience who is eager to develop deep expertise in cutting‑edge nanoparticle analysis technology and contribute to the commercial advancement of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing expertise with our proprietary technology platform for single nanoparticle analysis
- Providing technical support and expertise to the engineering and field applications team to enhance product user experience
- Developing and improving standard operating protocols for existing and new products, in collaboration with engineers and field applications teams
- Managing collaborative research agreements with external partners and leveraging the outputs
- Conducting technical meetings, presentations, and seminars with internal and external stakeholders
Key Selection Criteria
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Bioengineering or a related discipline
- Some prior industry experience (e.g. internship, placement, or early‑career role) – candidates moving from academia into industry are welcome to apply
- Experience in one or both of the following areas: nanoparticle or nanoformulation characterisation; vibrational or optical spectroscopy techniques from a technical and functional perspective
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and multi‑disciplinary environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to a broad audience
- A genuine passion for solving technical problems and driving scientific innovation
- Ability to commit to regular on‑site presence in London (3+ days per week)
Additional Desirable Skills
- Experience with nanoformulation or nanoparticle manufacturing, such as lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), exosomes, extracellular vesicles, or viral vectors
- Familiarity with spectroscopy‑based analytical techniques and/or microscopy
- Background in biological or chemical sciences with relevance to nanoparticle applications
- Experience working in or exposure to industry settings in R&D, life sciences, or instrumentation sectors
