The Planner supports the Planning Manager in coordinating around 50,000 reactive service calls and 12,000 installations annually, focusing on efficiency and technician productivity. The Planner manages a large internal engineering team, coordinates with third-party teams, and ensures work meets agreed service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily planning and coordination of 50,000 reactive calls and 12,000 installations across all On-Trade customers, including 2.5m hl of draught beer volume.
  • Use diagnostic tools and scheduling systems to plan engineer routes, ensure efficient resource use, and meet SLAs for reactive and planned work (PPMs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Sales Intelligence) and key customers (e.g., JDW, Greene King, Whitbread) to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Identify risks to KPIs and SLAs, taking action to mitigate them; manage WIP and ensure accurate task closure in systems.
  • Work closely with the Planning Manager to improve team productivity and attend regular planning reviews.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities using PDCA methodology; contribute to process development and service level enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong verbal reasoning, strategic thinking and highly self-motivated.
  • Deadline-driven, accurate, and committed to personal development and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, build strong relationships and work collaboratively.
