Fooditude is looking for a Kitchen Supervisor who is knowledgeable and passionate about all things food. The Kitchen Supervisor will work with the onsite catering team to run the breakfast and lunch service for a workplace restaurant for our client. The role requires a wide knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and attention to detail, and involves a daily changing menu with exciting dishes and cuisines. The kitchen supervisor will also contribute to our food waste project.
Responsibilities
- Run the breakfast and lunch service for a workplace restaurant
- Ensure high standards of kitchen quality, safety and hygiene
- Lead the kitchen team and supervise the preparation of basic food items and a range of global cuisines
- Participate in the food waste project and support sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen supervisory role, ideally within a high volume environment
- Understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen best practices
- Basic cooking and knife skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong leadership and people skills to lead the kitchen service and team
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
