This role involves managing a varied housing caseload efficiently, providing clear and practical legal advice while maintaining high standards of client care and communication. Responsibilities include handling correspondence, negotiations, and advocacy as required, ensuring accurate time recording and timely billing, and maintaining compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements. The role also requires staying up to date with developments in housing law, contributing to departmental administration and team success, and providing or seeking supervision where appropriate, with opportunities to expand into community care, public law, and Court of Protection work.
The candidate
The firm is seeking a Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year PQE in Housing Law, with strong knowledge of Legal Aid including CCMS. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational ability with effective prioritisation, and confidence in advocacy and negotiation.
The package
The firm offers a competitive salary, along with 25 days of holiday entitlement that increases to 28 days after three years and 30 days after five years.
