My client is seeking an experienced and driven Head of Estates to lead a flagship residential development in London. This is a senior, high-impact role with full responsibility for estates and facilities management across a dynamic and growing community. You will oversee a large scale mixed use scheme, ensuring high standards in operations, compliance, and customer experience. This includes leading on site teams, managing contractors and planned maintenance programmes, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and well presented environment. This is a visible leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast paced setting and enjoys combining operational delivery with strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day to day estates and facilities management operations, ensuring a safe, compliant, and well maintained environment.
- Oversee hard and soft services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, waste, and public realm management.
- Manage PPM programmes and contractor performance to ensure high quality service delivery.
- Take ownership of fire safety, health & safety, and regulatory compliance across the estate.
- Serve as the main point of contact for residents, leaseholders, and stakeholders, ensuring excellent communication and service.
- Develop, mentor, and lead the on site team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Your Experience
- Senior experience in estates, facilities, or operational leadership within residential or mixed use developments.
- Background in BTR, large scale residential, or mixed use environments.
- Strong experience in managing contractors and service partners to deliver high standards.
- Solid understanding of health & safety, fire safety, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging clients, residents, and partners effectively.
