We are an early-stage, well-funded team building technology that breaks down language barriers in real-time conversation. The AI at the core of our product is the hardest problem we are solving - and the most important. We are taking our time on this hire because trust matters more than speed.

You will be part of our senior leadership committee - sitting alongside the CEO, Head of Engineering, Head of Product, Head of GTM and Chief of Staff. You own the AI direction, the model architecture, and the long-term technical bets we make on how this product thinks, learns and scales. This is a founding-level role in everything but title.

Responsibilities:
  • You have deep hands-on experience building and shipping AI models - not just fine-tuning, but understanding what’s under the hood.
  • You’ve worked on problems that are genuinely hard - real-time processing, speech, translation, or low-latency inference would be a strong signal.
  • You’re the kind of engineer who came up through places like DeepMind, top research labs, or early-stage AI teams where the bar was exceptionally high.
  • You’re curious, sharp and energised by unsolved problems rather than comfortable ones.
  • You’re someone people trust with decisions that are hard to reverse - you think carefully, communicate clearly, and don’t cut corners on what matters.
  • You can work independently at a senior level while staying closely aligned with a small, fast-moving team.
The role is:
  • A seat at the table from day one - you’ll help decide what we build and how we build it.
  • The chance to own the AI layer of a product that could change how hundreds of millions of people communicate.
  • A long-term commitment - we’re not hiring someone to hand off to; we’re hiring someone to grow with us through every stage.
What you’ll get:
  • Pension, equity, competitive salary, and offices in the heart of London that you’ll actually want to come into.
  • We believe good work should be recognised and rewarded fairly.
  • A team that takes the work seriously but not itself - we have socials, we have passion, and we’re building something we genuinely believe in.
  • Sharp minds, low egos, and a genuine obsession with building things that matter.

If you’ve read this and thought “that’s exactly what I want to work on” - we’d love to hear from you.
