As Head Housekeeper at Purley Gardens Care Home in Surrey, you will oversee the housekeeping and laundry cleaning service, ensuring high-quality and comprehensive care for residents. You will support the hospitality services function and maintain cleanliness standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out all cleaning duties as per the housekeeping job description.
- Prepare orders for Home Manager approval for cleaning materials with approved suppliers, maintaining stock levels and controlling budget limits.
- Monitor cleanliness standards of the housekeeping and laundry team.
- Supervise and direct the housekeeping team, instructing and demonstrating cleaning tasks and materials to new staff.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Experience in cleaning and managing laundry in a public setting.
- Knowledge of health and safety, including moving and handling techniques, fire safety, and COSHH assessments.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to delivering high quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
- Ability to lead, supervise, and develop teams.
