As a VP - Global Payments Project Product Controller within the Product Control team in London, you will lead the delivery of strategic finance and Product Control change initiatives ensuring BAU Product Control deliverables, including P&L and balance sheet substantiation/controls and month-end close requirements are satisfied. You will partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Technology, and the business to execute a diverse portfolio of Kinexys initiatives ranging from multi-year programs (e.g., digital asset tokenisation, digital payments tokenisation) to continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and operating models.

Job responsibilities (Project delivery focus, with BAU alignment)

  • Own end-to-end project/change delivery for Product Control initiatives, partnering with the Kinexys Product Controller to define scope, requirements, operating model design, implementation planning, UAT/parallel run and substantiation proving, cutover readiness, and post-implementation stabilization and control validation.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements; support business and technology teams to translate them into functional specifications and process/control designs.
  • Ensure BAU issues, breaks, and control gaps are captured, assessed, and translated into initiative requirements and prioritised enhancements, in partnership with BAU Product Control teams.
  • Support the design and/or review of target operating models and process flows, ensuring alignment with regional and global standards and governance.
  • Partner with BAU teams to define and document requirements for controlled migration of reference data and product-system feeds into target finance environments.
  • Coordinate delivery activities with Business Leads and Project Managers; manage dependencies across functions and regions.
  • Drive project governance (including NPA) and execution by managing RAID, escalating issues, and ensuring timely decisions with stakeholders (including Finance project managers).
  • Maintain high-quality project documentation (risk assessments, requirements, operating model documents, procedures, sign-offs) in the agreed repository.
  • Support stakeholder readiness through training, communications, and implementation support where required.
  • Maintain alignment to BAU Product Control by ensuring changes are control-safe, auditable, and operationally sustainable; support BAU close/substantiation deliverables as needed, particularly during key delivery milestones.
  • Provide coaching and day-to-day oversight for junior BAs / team members as applicable.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong understanding of Product Control, accounting, and finance control frameworks (close, substantiation, balance sheet/P&L controls) and how to embed them into change delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects through structured business analysis, governance, and lifecycle controls.
  • Knowledge of finance and product technology platforms and data flows, including interfaces/feeds into finance environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation, and conflict management skills in a matrixed organisation.
  • Sound judgment and ability to balance delivery timelines with control integrity and operational risk considerations.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills; strong documentation discipline.
  • Inquisitive team player with ability to multi-task across BAU priorities and a change portfolio.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience delivering finance/Product Control change in global payments and/or broader financial services.
  • Exposure to strategic system replacements, operating model transformation, data migration, or process reengineering.
  • Professional certifications such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.
  • Experience with SAP GL and financial reporting systems.
