As a part of Nothing's growth 3-year-strategy, with our accelerating retail store growth globally, we are hiring a Director of Experience Retail, based in London, to drive further growth in physical experience touchpoints as long as point-of-sales. Reporting to the VP of Growth, you will be mapping out an aggressive pipeline with country teams, overseeing overall P&L of the global stores, driving world class customer experience and value proposition, retail activation & relationship programs, optimizing our day-to-day business omni-channel as well as leading retail partnerships and marketing to help us scale to the next level of growth.

Country expansion experience on physical retail programs and marketing/partnership development are an important part of this role.

What You'll Do

  • Empower Nothing experience retail store business topline to grow 100x in 3 years.
  • Strategize 3 years' global experience retail expansion plan by country, map out store opening pipeline with country team supported by store economic analysis and ensure the retail experience journey aligns to the brand strategy and target audiences.
  • Build experience in retail tiering structures and strategies.
  • Develop a global retail standard operating procedure and adopt it at the country level, for new store openings as well as daily store operations.
  • Develop with HQ marketing & Country teams on worldwide experience retail commercial calendar & retail marketing activation campaigns with VM execution which aligns with the global marketing & sales calendar.
  • Work closely with the country teams and People team to build local retail competencies, set up the right structure and actively participate in talent acquisition and development.
  • Work closely with the Brand & Retail support team to develop a model-store concept and guideline with a standardized VM display system across different tiers & sizes of stores.
  • Work closely with the Retail support team & country teams to manage construction, VM and inventory at store level.
  • Manage with country teams on monthly store P&L, revenue forecasts, operating expense, sales analysis data, operating reports and KPI setting.
  • Responsible for team building, coaching, training and development of all retail staff to ensure sales objectives and exceptional customer experience standards are met.
  • Work closely with the Direct to Consumer team to identify technology & programs in order to optimize O2O & in-store customer experience journey.

Requirements

  • Over 10+ years of experience in retail business.
  • Experience in store expansion, multi-store management and store openings.
  • Excellent project management and effective communication skills.
  • Good understanding of retail market trends with a strong business acumen.
  • Ability to handle multiple overlapping store openings across the US, India, Western Europe, Asia Pacific, GCC and reprioritise when needed.
  • Willing to work in a high-growth, fast moving start-up culture.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Goal oriented and possess an entrepreneur mindset.
  • Ability to initiate changes according to trends and culture, identify and implement improved service practices and procedures.
  • Understand key performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecast, competitive analysis as well as consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the retail business.
  • Experience in collaborating with regional teams and executing world-wide collaboration and business initiatives in the regional market.
