As the Klarna UK Product Oversight & Consumer Success Lead, you will oversee all new and existing products and services impacting UK consumers, ensuring product decisions and customer journeys are designed with a strong focus on fair consumer outcomes and compliance with UK regulatory requirements. You will work closely with product managers, operational teams, and senior stakeholders across Klarna to drive the successful delivery of UK-specific product initiatives, maintain robust governance frameworks, and support effective collaboration across multiple domains.
In this position, you will lead the development and oversight of Klarna UK's Consumer Duty framework, policies, and routines, while supporting interactions with regulators and ensuring that product changes align with both business objectives and regulatory expectations. You will also represent Klarna UK in governance forums and contribute to strategic decision-making that supports sustainable growth and positive consumer experiences.
Who you are
- 7+ years of experience working with products, operations, governance, or consumer oversight within financial services, payments, or other regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and consumer protection frameworks, including Consumer Duty principles
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and delivering complex product or operational changes in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across product, compliance, risk, and operational teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience identifying risks and driving effective resolutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Nice to have
- Experience working directly with UK financial regulators or supporting regulatory interactions
- Understanding of collections, arrears, and forbearance practices within consumer financial services
- Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, and operational routines within regulated environments
