The Opportunity
An Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting the team, with the ability to assume the store management responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence. The Assistant Store Manager is also responsible for achieving sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandising standards and goals, building highly motivated teams, and developing Fragrance Consultants to the next level.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Head Office stakeholders and internal teams
- Effectively prioritise daily tasks to support the smooth running of the business
- Demonstrate flexibility and an agile approach to work, adapting focus to meet business needs
- Support the management of stock levels and assist with accurate inventory checks
- Work closely with the ARM, RRM and Store Teams to help ensure appropriate stock levels, particularly for key selling lines and promotional products
- Support the communication of company strategy and goals to the team
- Assist in setting and monitoring individual and team objectives on a weekly and monthly basis
- Support the development of Ambassadors through regular coaching and leading by example
- Assist with staff performance reviews during probation periods and ongoing reviews as required
- Support recruitment activities, including assisting with inductions and monitoring performance of new starters
- Ensure team members act professionally and comply with company policies and guidelines
- Support the management of employee issues in line with company procedures and legal requirements
Training and Service Standards
- Support the delivery of a luxury level of customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Lead by example through strong product knowledge, selling techniques and client engagement
- Handle customer complaints professionally and discreetly, escalating where appropriate
- Support the implementation of the eventing calendar in collaboration with the Retail Manager UK & Ireland
- Monitor adherence to the selling ceremony and provide constructive feedback to the team
- Support training initiatives and follow up on in-store coaching actions as guided by the Training team and line manager
Retail Excellence
- Assist in maintaining correct stock levels and high POS standards in store
- Ensure merchandising is displayed in line with company guidelines
- Demonstrate and encourage the Beauty Principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend and Thank)
- Support the team in maintaining a consistent "white glove" level of customer service
- Assist in building and maintaining the CRM database
- Support the achievement and improvement of Mystery Shopping scores in line with KPIs
Sales and Business Management
- Support the achievement of door sales targets and wider business objectives
- Assist in collating sales data, analysing results and preparing reports for the line manager within agreed deadlines
- Stay informed on competitor activity and share relevant insights with the team
- Proactively support in-store events and initiatives to maximise sales opportunities
- Build strong working relationships with store management and adhere to store policies and procedures
- Support effective communication with Puig management and Head Office teams
- Assist with counter administration, including rotas and counter cover planning in line with business needs, including temporary staffing
