What you'll be doing

  • Completing rotational placements across manufacturing and repair areas
  • Learning to produce and refurbish aerospace components and assemblies
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and planning work activities
  • Developing skills in assembly, inspection, testing, balancing and winding
  • Working to aerospace quality standards and internal processes
  • Operating machinery in line with standard operating procedures
  • Following all health & safety requirements
  • Contributing to team performance and continuous improvement

Additional programme details

  • Years 1-3: 1 day per week at College, 4 days onsite in Pitstone
  • Exposure to support functions including Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Industrialisation and Logistics
  • Assigned mentor and buddy for ongoing support
  • Regular reviews with college, management, mentor and HR
