Overview: As the UK's leading provider of optical care at home, we are searching for passionate Locum optometrists to join us at the forefront of domiciliary care. Driven by our belief that clinically excellent eye care should be accessible and affordable for all, we use the latest mobile technology and processes to change people's lives for the better. We deliver our life‑changing service across the UK, supporting the NHS to provide vital eye care to people who may struggle to get to the high‑street unaided.

Work Schedule: Each day you'll see a cluster of 6–8 patients within the same local area. Travel can be up to 50 miles from your home postcode, but this will not be every day – some days you may work just 5 miles away, other days 30–40 miles. Once in your area for the day, you'll only have short drives between patients as they will be clustered in the same postcode region.

Equipment & Training: All of our Locum Optometrists are provided with a full equipment kit and comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident before working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit about 6–8 patients every day in their own homes. Appointments last about 1 hour, allowing time to form better relationships and deliver gold‑standard care.
  • Make autonomous decisions and provide expert care, with support from the senior optometrist team at head office available within minutes.
  • Use the latest equipment, including a mobile slit lamp, I‑care tonometer and an industry‑leading digital records system, eliminating paperwork.
