Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a capable Childcare Solicitor to join a well-respected local authority based in the North West on a locum basis for 3 - 6 months, with a likelihood for extension.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying your own caseload of care proceedings, as well as pre proceeding matters.
  • Handing a full caseload of childcare matters, providing advice on all aspects of public law children's matters.
  • Attending PLO and legal planning meetings.
  • Drafting documents, including statements and threshold agreements.
  • Non-accidental injury.
  • Exclusion orders.
  • Emergency protection orders.

Requirements / Considerations

  • Office and court attendance is mandatory, but those offering flexibility around attendance will be considered.
  • The role can offer flexible working arrangements, and although full-time availability is desirable, candidates offering part-time availability may also be considered.
  • Our client is open to considering applications from candidates from both public and private sector backgrounds if relevant public childcare experience is demonstrated.
