Be the friendly face at the heart of our Family Hub/Children's Centre, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment for families and visitors. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll keep essential administration running smoothly - from managing records and bookings to helping shape more efficient online processes. As the first point of contact, you'll greet visitors, manage enquiries in person, by phone and email, and ensure everyone feels supported and connected to the services they need.

The role: The Apprentice Receptionist will be the first point of contact for the Family Hub/Children's Centre, welcoming families and visitors, signing them in and helping them find what they need, including via phone or mailbox. Support the operational delivery of the Family Hub/Children's Centre through maintaining effective administration processes, possibly further developing them to online processes. This can include filing records, booking rooms and activities. Respond to questions from families in person, over the phone and by email, ensuring they receive the right help. Register new families and explain what support and services are available. Signpost families to other local services and organisations that can help them. Organise session bookings, manage waiting lists and keep clear attendance records.

This role is fixed term for the purpose of completing the level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship and will end 18 months after you start with us.
