About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming and supportive schools in Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey by providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Implement personalised learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
- Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development
- Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
