What you'll be doing
- Monitor pool areas, ensuring guest safety and responding to emergencies
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards
- Complete NPLQ training and demonstrate rescue and first aid skills
Requirements
To be a Lifeguard you must be a strong swimmer and pass a swim test during the interview, which includes diving into deep water, timed swimming on front and back and exiting the pool without assistance.
Trainee Lifeguards must attend a 5 day NPLQ course. Employment is subject to passing the course. The course includes classroom sessions on Lifeguard responsibilities, observing pool guests, performing rescues and administering first aid and CPR.
- RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification and completed 20 hours of continued professional development (Qualified Lifeguards only)
- Able to swim 50 metres within 55 seconds
- Communicate effectively with people and stay calm under pressure
- Friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues
You'll need to complete a DBS check before starting (we'll help with that).

Your working hours
- Part time
- You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of hours over a 4 week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
- This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holiday
