Worcestershire Libraries are recruiting a Library Customer Advisor to work primarily in Kidderminster on a 21.5 hour per week schedule, with occasional travel to Bewdley, Stourport and Tenbury Wells Libraries. The role is diverse, exciting and offers a variety of customer interactions.
Typical duties include:
- Providing digital one to one support
- Leading events and activities such as song or storytelling sessions for children
- Online activity groups for adults
The role is fast paced and customer focused, with a continual learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service and support digital and face to face inquiries.
- Plan and run engaging library events and activities for all age groups.
- Travel to partner libraries as required to support services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on customer interactions.
Required Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- Enthusiastic, energetic and flexible with a strong desire to find answers to customer questions.
- Background in retail, community work, education, early years or library services is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including Monday, Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-1 and every other Saturday 10-3.
