Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye‑catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? If so, at eXPD8 we are looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Lerwick ZE1 0RD. You will be an integral part of a field‑based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. While you will be based in one area, work opportunities exist across a variety of different stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and shelves are well stocked.
  • Adhere to merchandising standards, store policies, procedures and health & safety guidance.
  • Follow and implement planograms to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
  • Set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts and special offers.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with in‑store colleagues, including department and store managers.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application.

Work Details

  • Hours: 5 hours per week – Monday and Wednesday (flexible start times). Additional ad hoc work as requested and agreed.

Qualifications

  • Experience or passion for merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently within set time frames.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards and service for clients.
  • Comfortable with manual handling; able to move and arrange products from the warehouse to the shop floor.
  • Willingness to accept home deliveries of point‑of‑sale or stock items for some visits (you will be paid extra).
  • Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions about tasks.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car (bonus).
