MULTIPLE ROLES AVAILABLE AT STAMFORD Thursday 4-10.30pm; Sundays 11-5pm. Rate of pay will depend on National Minimum Wage age bracket. Casual and regular hours available. Our centres are open 7 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of customers whilst supervising the swimming pool and its surrounds as a pool lifeguard.
- Undertake general lifeguard duties to the standards defined in the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, ensuring that the poolside is never left unattended for any reason whatsoever.
- Be aware of general pool conditions (water clarity and odour) and report any issues to the Duty Manager.
- Monitor the number of swimmers in the pool at any one time and advise the Duty Manager if numbers exceed specified limits or additional lifeguards are required.
- Comply with the PSOP (Pool Safety Operating Procedure) of the centre at all times.
- Maintain your NPLQ by attending the required number and frequency of training sessions.
- Provide outstanding customer care at all times, dealing with minor problems and reporting serious issues to the Duty Manager.
- Ensure the health and safety of customers at all times.
- Understand and be fully conversant with the Centre Emergencies Procedure for the building as detailed in the Health and Safety Manual.
- Check the safety of equipment and report any damage or malfunction of equipment, plant, or building fabric to the Duty Manager immediately after discovery.
- Assist in the preparation and operation of events and activities, including the assembly and dismantling of equipment and minor repairs when required.
- Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out as prescribed, and maintain storage areas in a clean and tidy condition.
- Ensure that lost property is handled and recorded in line with company procedures.
- Assist in the opening and/or closing of the centre each day.
- Complete other tasks as requested by the management team.
