What You'll Do as a Legal Counsel - Technology
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you'll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
- Lead drafting and negotiation of enterprise technology contracts, including cloud, software, data, digital and cross border service arrangements.
- Support strategic digital transformation and outsourcing programmes across multiple markets.
- Provide clear legal advice on contracts, disputes, and legislation impacting technology, data and digital services, including cross border transfers, cybersecurity and AI governance.
- Advise on emerging technology matters such as AI use cases, automation, data commercialisation and evolving EU/UK regulatory frameworks.
- Act as the primary legal partner for technology, data and AI topics, building strong relationships across Primark and influencing strategic and operational decisions.
- Collaborate with external counsel across jurisdictions, managing timelines and budgets while translating legal advice into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
What You'll Bring

- Qualified solicitor with 4-6 years PQE, gained either in private practice or in house.
- Experience advising on technology, digital or commercial matters within a fast paced business environment.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills for technology and commercial contracts, including cross border arrangements.
- Exposure to data protection, cybersecurity or regulatory matters, ideally covering both EU and UK regimes.
- Interest in or experience with AI, automation, digital platforms and data driven business models.
- Proven ability to manage large projects and multi stakeholder initiatives, applying rigorous legal analysis while supporting commercial objectives and building strong relationships across an organisation.
