The predicted salary is between 37338 - 44962 £ per year.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a chaplain or pastoral care practitioner to join our diverse team of chaplains, honorary and bank chaplains, and volunteers. We provide care 7 days a week, and in emergency 24 hours a day, striving to support people from all faiths and beliefs, or world views.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral, spiritual, and religious/belief care in the NHS setting.
  • Work as part of a faith and belief team, delivering holistic care for patients, staff, students, and their families.
  • Respect and affirm people regardless of religion, belief, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or state of health.
  • Collaborate across faith and belief systems and work to pastoral care beyond personal faith boundaries.

Qualifications

  • Eligible to be authorised by appropriate faith or belief group to practice as a Healthcare Chaplain.
  • Educated to Honours degree level (or equivalent work or life experience).
  • Registered or eligible to be registered by the Council of Professional Chaplains and Pastoral Carers.

Experience

  • Previous Chaplaincy experience with approximately 1600 hours of professionally supervised practice as a designated chaplain or pastoral care practitioner.
  • Broad knowledge of faith and belief systems to work in a multi cultural, multi faith and belief context.
  • Postgraduate specialist Healthcare Chaplaincy qualification (if applicable).
