About the Role

Panda is a trusted waste management provider in Leeds. We champion sustainable practices and the circular economy. We're now hiring a skilled Skip & Roro Driver to join our team and help us achieve our environmental and operational goals.

The Role

Based at our Leeds depot (LS9 0PF), you'll operate HGV Class 2 vehicles. Your main job is to safely and efficiently transport waste materials. This is key to our smooth operations, environmental standards, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles (Skip, Hookloader, etc.) for waste transport.
  • Optimise routes for efficiency.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
  • Maintain accurate digital records (on tablet).
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and traffic laws.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Support waste reduction goals.
  • Be flexible for varied shift patterns (inc. weekends/Bank Holidays).
  • Report all safety incidents promptly.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid CE licence & CPC.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Proven HGV driving experience (waste preferred).
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety & environmental rules.
  • Ability to drive/train on specific waste vehicles (Skip, Hookloader, etc.).
  • Good communication & customer focus.
  • Physically fit (for manual tasks & PPE).
  • Committed to safety, sustainability, and teamwork.

  • Competitive Pay: £14.39 per hour.
  • Bonus: £10 per day.
  • Overtime Pay: £18.71 per hour after 45 hours/week.
