Panda Recycling are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance activities and personnel across the Yorkshire region. This will include mobile equipment and static plant machinery across a number of Waste Management & Recycling plants varying in size, scale and output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all H&S rules are being followed including plant isolation, lock off, safe access etc.
  • Ensure all statutory inspections on sites are planned and up to date.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the plant is maintained, clean and in good working order at all times.
  • Ensure that maintenance plans are in place and adhered to across all facilities within the region.
  • Carry out regular audits across sites to ensure maintenance standards are being adhered to.
  • Complete weekly reports to the regional operations manager of site compliance to maintenance standards.
  • Manage the maintenance personnel ensuring the correct headcounts and skill levels are in place to uphold the maintenance strategy across the region.
  • Manage and deliver site improvement projects where required.
  • Liaise with external contractors and site managers ensuring that any maintenance or repair works are planned.
  • Carry out RCA on equipment failures to prevent future downtime events.
  • Review critical spares holdings and ensure they are maintained to reduce unplanned stoppages.
  • Develop reporting tools alongside site managers and regional manager to report unplanned downtime.
  • Deliver a CMMS system across the region.
  • Develop and deliver a failure reduction plan for the region.
  • Work alongside regional operations manager to create and implement site development plans.
  • Be available to react to downtime events and assist where necessary.
