Ison Harrison Solicitors, the Yorkshire Law Firm, employs approximately 450 people across 24 offices.
We have an exciting vacancy for a Paralegal to join our dedicated Crime team on a full or part-time basis at our head office in Leeds city centre. The ideal candidate will have excellent client care skills, work well under pressure and have experience of working in a similar role.
Key Duties- Providing support to fee earners, solicitors and partners.
- Running a case load of client matters under supervision where appropriate.
- Dealing with matters at all stages, from taking the client's initial instructions through to archiving, in accordance with office and accounts procedures.
- Liaising with clients and other parties on behalf of fee earners and dealing with enquiries as appropriate.
- Obtaining and preparing file documentation.
- Billing files and obtaining monies due to the firm from the clients, the Legal Aid Agency and other parties.
- Ability to present and argue a case orally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with technical details and to express solutions to complex legal problems in a concise and customer‑friendly way.
- Ability to work accurately in accordance with the requirements of each team.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- A flexible, "can‑do" attitude.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
- Professional yet approachable communication and client care.
- Excellent written and spoken communication to produce documents for the clients, court and other parties.

- Flexibility with travel to court to assist fee earners if required.
- 1+ years previous experience in a similar role.
- Profit share scheme distributed tax‑free to employees after 12 months of service.
