Hours: Monday to Friday rotating shifts: 5am - 2pm / 1:30pm - 10:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to join a fast paced food production and packaging facility in Ledbury. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient and compliant operations across a busy production shift.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure output targets are consistently met
  • Monitor operations and quickly resolve any issues to minimize downtime
  • Lead, support and motivate a team of operatives and supervisors across your shift
  • Deliver clear pre-shift briefings, setting expectations and priorities
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and performance management
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations
  • Carry out regular checks to maintain operational and quality standards
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes

About you:

  • Experience in a supervisory or management role within food manufacturing or a similar production environment
  • Strong understanding of UK food safety and health & safety standards
  • Confident leader with ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
  • Comfortable using production systems and reporting tools
  • Food safety or management qualifications are an advantage
