We wish to appoint a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying to strengthen our teaching team by sharing our passion for delivering a high-quality learning experience and advancing good practice through curriculum development. Reporting to the Head of Construction and Management, the appointee will teach undergraduate and postgraduate students across a range of programmes, focusing on commercial management and quantity surveying, drawing on substantial experience in education or industry. We welcome applicants from non-academic backgrounds with significant professional expertise who wish to support higher education. You will have the opportunity to undertake individual or collaborative research, and develop your career in a supportive, innovative and diverse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to design and deliver engaging teaching and learning activities, and supervise research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging developments in quantity surveying and commercial management.
- Have experience in the teaching or practice of quantity surveying.
- Motivate, coach and support students with a range of individual learning styles and development needs.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
