We are seeking to appoint three outstanding Lecturers in Psychology (full time, 3 FTE combined) with a strong academic profile and a demonstrated commitment to high quality teaching, who can contribute to our current BSc Psychology provision. We welcome applications from candidates across all areas of psychology who could contribute widely to our thriving, collegial department. We are particularly interested in applicants able to teach counselling psychology, as this area aligns closely with current teaching needs.

Responsibilities

  • The post holders are primarily expected to contribute to taught modules of our undergraduate programmes in Psychology, and Psychology with Criminology.
  • They may also be involved in teaching on one of our current PG programmes and/or PG programmes in development.
  • The post holders will perform the role of personal tutor to students.
  • They will supervise dissertations, contribute to departmental administrative duties, design and mark coursework assessments, and contribute to team, departmental, and student events and meetings.

Person Specification

The successful candidates will be Psychologists who are able and motivated to contribute to the teaching, research and administration of the Department, and to the delivery of a high quality teaching programme on the BSc Psychology.
