Our Sales People team sits within the broader EU GTM organisation, partnering directly with senior commercial leaders to build the people foundations that power SumUp's growth across European markets. This isn't a support function, it's a strategic seat at the table, where organisational design, leadership development, and talent strategy shape how one of SumUp's fastest-scaling business areas performs.

As Lead People Partner, you'll work closely with the VP of Sales and Country Heads to make sure our growing sales force has the structures, culture, and leadership capability to keep scaling, and to keep winning.

What you'll do

  • Shape and lead the People Strategy roadmap for Sales across European markets, translating business priorities into practical people plans.
  • Partner with Sales leadership on organisational design, leadership layering, and workforce planning as the business scales.
  • Build and improve core people processes, from onboarding to performance management to leadership development, so they're consistent, scalable, and actually used.
  • Coach regional People Partners and Sales Leaders to strengthen management capability and embed a high-performance culture.
  • Work cross-functionally with TA, Comp & Ben, Legal, and the wider People team to make sure people practices are compliant, consistent, and impactful.

You'll be great for this role if

  • Strong track record of delivering people and organisational transformation within high-growth, commercial environments, working across multiple countries simultaneously.
  • Experience in influencing at VP and Director level, with the credibility to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Deep expertise in organisational design, talent management, and leadership capability development.
  • Comfort using data and insight to shape decisions, identify trends, and measure the impact of people initiatives.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages such as French, German, or Italian are a plus.

Why you should join SumUp (London)

  • Opportunity to work with a truly global, multicultural team from our central Covent Garden location, wrapped in historic charm and modern flair. This involves an office-first setup.
  • Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: be part of a workplace that values and promotes diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone's perspectives are respected and embraced.
  • Enrollment onto our Virtual Stock Option programme: you will own a stake in SumUp's future success.
  • Generous time off: enjoy 28 days of paid leave, plus bank holidays and special leaves.
  • A dedicated annual L&D budget for attending conferences and/or advancing your career through further education.
  • Health matters: private health insurance, including optical and dental.
  • Life made easier: salary sacrifice commuter benefits via Gogeta.
  • Financial security: retirement scheme (SumUp matches 7% when you contribute 5%).
  • Peace of mind: life insurance from MetLife for 2 your salary.
  • Break4me: 1 month sabbatical after 3 years of service.
  • Referral Bonus: earn additional rewards by referring talented individuals to join the SumUp team.
