Spring Gate Nursery School is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship. Spring Gate Nursery School is a warm, welcoming early years setting where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow at their own pace. We believe every child is unique, and our nurturing team is dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating environment where curiosity is celebrated and confidence is built every day.
At Spring Gate, we follow the EYFS framework through play‑based learning that inspires imagination, independence, and a love of learning. Our caring practitioners work closely with families to support each child's individual journey, ensuring they feel valued, secure, and ready for their next steps in education. With a strong focus on wellbeing, safeguarding, and positive relationships, we pride ourselves on being a place where children feel happy, parents feel confident, and staff feel proud to make a difference.
We have 2 rooms – babies and pre‑school, toddler and care for children between 3 months and 11 years.
- Work closely with managers to support high‑quality practice in line with EYFS
- Help plan activities and monitor children's learning and development
- Share good practice and support colleagues in their roles
- Offer guidance and encouragement to team members when needed
- Use observations to help plan next steps for children
- Support inclusive practice so all children feel valued and supported
- Build positive relationships with parents/carers
- Follow safeguarding and setting policies with support from managers
- Contribute to team training and ongoing improvements
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children
A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential. Have GCSE grades A -C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent.
Spring Gate Nursery School is open from 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 30+ hours per week.
