I'm an elderly lady with dementia and mobility issues who lives in Lauder. I want to stay in my own home and remain independent. I'm looking for friendly PAs to come in 7 days per week, 3 visits per day: late am, lunch, and early evening to check in on me and assist and encourage me with personal care, daily tasks, food prep, etc. Initially, it will be building up the trust between us so I'm comfortable with you helping me.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Encouragement to attend to my personal care and make sure I wear clean clothes
  • Check/empty catheter bag
  • Make sure I wear my Borders Care Alarm
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, tea and encourage me to eat and drink
  • Ensure I've taken my medication at every visit
  • Assist into night clothes and change catheter to night bag
  • Any other tasks I need support with

Hours of work:

  • Morning visits for 1 hour, Monday to Sunday
  • Lunchtime visits for 30 minutes, Monday to Sunday

The terms:

  • £14.55 per hour
  • Mileage negotiable
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave on a pro rata basis
  • PVG/References required
