A unique opportunity has arisen for experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our successful team and support our business delivering goods throughout Northern Ireland, ASDA stores.

What you need:

  • Full HGV Class C&E (Class 1) Licence
  • A minimum of 12 months LGV driving and delivery experience, with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Possession of a Digital Tachograph card
  • In possession of full DCPC (35 hours)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent dexterity

The Role:

  • Deliveries to ASDA stores depots as Ambassadors of Wincanton Dedicated Grocery.
  • Organisation and accurate completion of appropriate paperwork for each delivery consignment.
  • Unloading manually required.
  • Prompt and regular communication with Larne depot if any problems arise during shift.
  • Safe and efficient handling of vehicle in all respects, including the optimisation of fuel usage, cleanliness of cab etc.
  • Pre-shift checks of vehicle and reporting of maintenance issues.
  • Compliance with all legislation and procedures relating to LGV driving.
  • Conducting self in a safe manner and reporting any issues which risk H&S of self/others.
  • Undertake any training required by operation, the company provide your yearly CPC training.
  • To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function i.e. shunting duties.
