An independent coastal hotel with strong community roots is seeking a Head Chef. The role offers a salary of £17.50 per hour (OTE £50,000, plus approx. £3,000 TRONC) and live-in accommodation available at no charge.

You will have the opportunity to lead a quality-driven kitchen with genuine scope to elevate and evolve the food offering. The kitchen is well positioned for further growth, serving up to 80 covers at dinner and 40 at lunch.
This hands-on leadership role reports directly to a supportive General Manager (a former Head Chef) and works with owners who bring extensive hospitality expertise and a forward-looking approach to future projects. You will join an established brigade of local staff, where strong leadership, high standards, and a collaborative spirit are essential.

The Role:
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team across a busy, quality-focused service.
- Maintain consistency, GP targets (low 70s), and high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Deliver seasonal menus, daily specials, and accessible à la carte dishes.
- Support the development of new lunch offerings and contribute to year-round events.
- Ensure smooth service across key stations, including starters, desserts, larder, frier, pizza, and KP support.
- Uphold excellent food safety standards, including Level 3 food safety as a minimum requirement.
