About the role

The purpose of this role is to work with the Warehouse team and internal customers, to ensure end‑to‑end delivery of laboratory consumables and support other warehouse colleagues. The role also creates purchase orders and works with the Lab stores team to enable full inventory controls.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assist with bar‑coding requirements within the S&IC warehouse.
  • Provide support with laboratory deliveries throughout the S&IC.
  • Support deliveries/collections to/from laboratories as required, dealing with couriers and suppliers.
  • Maintain housekeeping and area cleanliness.
  • Undertake stock checks and add/remove inventory to LIMS as required.
  • Create purchase orders and provide customer service.
  • Provide general health and safety support throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist teams with their queries and delivery/collection issues.

The experience we are looking for:

  • A minimum of A levels or equivalent in scientific related subjects would be an advantage.
  • Experience within an R&D healthcare/Pharmaceutical and/or FMCG environment would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working within a warehouse environment and familiarity with Warehouse style KPIs.
  • Excellent team‑working skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good understanding of GMP related principles or a willingness to train.
  • Experience of or willingness to train on warehouse electrical lifting equipment.
