The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a skilled engineering team on a busy manufacturing site. This position has become available due to an internal promotion, highlighting the company's commitment to developing and progressing its people. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This is a hands-on role working across both mechanical and electrical systems. Whilst this role is mechanical and electrical, if the right person is experienced in either mechanical or electric this will be sufficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Service, maintain and overhaul machinery
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement and maintenance systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety & Environmental standards
  • Work proactively to minimise downtime and improve performance

About You

  • Previous work experience in a similar maintenance role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics & pneumatics
  • Electrical fault-finding skills on 3-phase and automated systems
  • Experience with fabrication and welding is desirable
  • Positive, proactive and flexible approach
