Job Overview

Conduct a research project to understand the barriers and potential areas for improvement in mental health needs identification by probation Court staff and the referral process to the Primary Care MHTR service, as well as reasons for low PSR rates and PC-MHTR awards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality research project management and delivery to ensure successful completion within time and budget.
  • Design, conduct and analyse quantitative and qualitative research data.
  • Write and contribute to publications and disseminate research findings to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and complete reports for colleagues, external stakeholders and commissioners.
  • Provide presentations and recommendations to commissioners, partner agencies and senior colleagues about service improvement areas.
  • Act as first point of contact to clinical, probation and court staff to communicate project learnings.
  • Collaborate closely with the MPFT research team to increase research awareness and activity.
  • Disseminate findings locally and nationally.
  • Work in line with Trust policy, legislation and ethical processes.

Experience

  • Evidence of effective leadership.
  • Significant research and service evaluation experience, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Experience publishing in academic or professional journals.
  • Publications in peer reviewed journals.

Qualifications & Training

  • PhD in a relevant research area or Doctorate in Psychology.
  • Professional Registration.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
