EventusLegal are seeking a permanent Family Paralegal to join the employer's well-established family law team based in Stafford, Staffordshire. This is a full-time Family Paralegal job, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, offering the opportunity to work within a respected specialist family practice in Stafford known for its strong client care and accredited legal expertise.
The Family Paralegal will be joining a growing and supportive team with exposure to a varied caseload across children and matrimonial matters, providing excellent development within a busy and highly regarded regional practice. This Family Paralegal job sits within a specialist family law environment, supporting solicitors across a broad range of privately funded family matters including divorce, financial remedy and children disputes. The Family Paralegal will play an important role in assisting fee earners with progressing cases efficiently while ensuring clients receive a high standard of service throughout often sensitive legal processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting solicitors with the day‑to‑day progression of family law files across divorce, financial settlements and children matters
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates and ensuring a professional and empathetic service
- Preparing and drafting legal documentation including correspondence, court forms and case notes
- Assisting with the collation and organisation of evidence and case materials for hearings and negotiations
- Managing incoming enquiries and supporting the wider team with effective case coordination
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date records on case management systems
- Undertaking general administrative support to ensure smooth running of family law matters
About You
You will ideally have prior experience within a legal environment and a genuine interest in family law, with the ability to support sensitive and often complex matters with professionalism and care. This Family Paralegal job will suit someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a busy team environment within a fast paced family department. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in a legal support or paralegal role, ideally within family law
- Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative and support fee earners independently
- Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in written and administrative work
- Clear and professional communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
