Acorn Early Years is looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive Housekeeper to join our team at Burton Latimer Nursery. This is an important role in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children, staff and families.
As a Nursery Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the nursery. You will work closely with the nursery team to ensure that all environments are safe, well organised and fully equipped to support high quality care and education.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery
- Ensure bathrooms, changing areas and communal spaces are clean, hygienic and well stocked
- Clean and clear eating areas, including tables and chairs after use
- Manage laundry to ensure bedding, flannels and other items are always clean and available
- Ensure all areas are adequately stocked with essential items such as bibs, tabards and paper towels
- Carry out general cleaning duties, including dusting and maintaining tidy environments
- Follow all health & safety, COSHH and safeguarding procedures in line with Acorn policies
- Actively report any concerns or issues to the Nursery Manager
- Work flexibly as part of the nursery team and support where needed, including occasional room cover
- A reliable, flexible and positive team player
- A strong understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
