The Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Junior IP Manager / IP Officer to join our expanding Intellectual team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting the Company's generics strategy across key international markets. You will contribute to identifying & assessing IP risks and opportunities, supporting successful & commercially viable generic launches. The role involves assisting with patent, trademark and related IP matters. Working closely and supporting cross-functional teams & external counsel, you will help ensure alignment between Business objectives and IP strategy while mitigating legal/litigation risks across key markets.

What will you be doing?

  • Support licensing and R&D projects through freedom-to-operate (FTO) assessments and patent landscape reviews.
  • Assessing IP risks to support launch planning.
  • Advising on trademark clearance and strategy.
  • Maintain and update internal IP tracking systems.
  • Monitor competitor filings, patent activities and regulatory developments and identify strategic opportunities.
  • Support licensing discussions, due diligence projects & portfolio expansion.
  • Coordinating with external counsel on oppositions, appeals and litigation strategy.
  • Working cross-functionally (Business, R&D, Regulatory, & Commercial teams) to align IP & business strategy.

The Person

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an IP-focused role (in-house or private practice).
  • Working knowledge of UK & EU patent & trademark processes.
  • Strong analytical & organizational skills with commercial awareness.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communicator who can translate complex IP issues into practical advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Desirable

  • Understanding of SPC, orphan designation, and regulatory exclusivities.
  • Interest in competitor intelligence and portfolio strategy.
