We are looking for a proactive Waste Oil Collection Driver based out of our Ipswich Plant. Provide a national service, collecting waste oil from various customers ranging from family run independent automotive garages to national organisations, while promoting the Slicker workplace values. We are smart, honest, reliable, working together and having fun.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Professional HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver
  • Collecting waste oil as allocated by the Transport Office
  • Completion of all relevant electronic information to generate consignment notes
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation - including daily walk around, driver hours etc.
  • Adhering to company Health & Safety policy and procedures
  • Representing the company in a professional manner when dealing with customers and members of the public
  • Apply the Slicker values to your role

Skills and Key Requirements

  • Candidates must be flexible, prepared to work overnight when required
  • Logical thinking and problem solving abilities, to deal with the wide selection of issues that may be encountered on site or while travelling between sites
  • Able to engage with clients and demonstrate a positive approach to customer service
  • Demonstrate the ability to achieve set daily/weekly objectives
  • Maintain resilience in a demanding role
  • Be a reliable team worker

Licences / Qualifications

  • HGV Class 2 (Cat C) License
  • Experience of tanker work preferred
  • ADR is preferred but not essential

Hours and Pay

  • Standard hours: 48 hours, Monday to Friday
  • Basic Salary: £36,095.19 pa
  • OTE £50,000 - £55,000 (Basic + overtime + collection bonuses)
