Taylor Root is currently partnering with a leading international law firm to assist as the team looks to hire an Associate into its IP, Technology & Regulatory practice in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with strong experience across soft IP, technology and regulatory matters to join a well-established and growing team advising high-profile clients in the retail, sport and technology sectors.
The team is seeking an Associate at around 3+ PQE to support a busy, high-quality practice handling a mix of contentious and non-contentious work. Matters are often complex, strategic and high profile, including litigation before the senior courts in England & Wales as well as multi-jurisdictional disputes. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers and will be given early responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on a broad range of soft IP matters, with a particular focus on trade marks, including clearance, protection, enforcement, licensing and brand exploitation
- Supporting clients on consumer law and regulatory issues, including compliance, disputes and emerging regulatory developments
- Advising on technology and digital disputes, including those arising from B2B technology and commercial agreements
- Managing day-to-day client relationships and delivering clear, commercially focused advice
- Collaborating with colleagues across other practice areas on multi-disciplinary matters
- Contributing to business development and client initiatives
Candidate
- Qualified solicitor with 3 to 6 years PQE
- Strong experience in soft IP, particularly trade marks
- Exposure to technology and/or regulatory work preferred
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
