Blue Arrow Inverness is recruiting for a Temporary Human Resources Officer. Are you an experienced HR professional available at short notice and looking for a short-term assignment where you can make an immediate impact?
Flexible base Full-time (35 hours) Temporary placement: 6 to 8 weeks £36,636 - £40,968 depending on experience with weekly pay.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operational HR work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently support managers across a wide range of employee relations matters.
About the Role
As a Temporary HR Officer, you'll provide frontline operational HR advice and guidance to managers across the organisation. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and trade unions, supporting day-to-day HR activity and contributing positively during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing HR advice in line with policies and employment legislation
- Supporting discipline, grievance, attendance, and performance management processes
- Advising on restructuring, redundancy, redeployment, TUPE, and ill-health retirement
- Attending hearings and appeals where required
- Supporting the HR mailbox and helpline on a rota basis
- Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Building effective working relationships with managers and trade unions
- Assisting with HR data analysis, reporting, and job evaluation as required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in an operational HR environment
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
- Confidence in advising and coaching managers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and hit tight deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and SharePoint)
- CIPD membership or working towards CIPD (desirable)
