What will you be doing?
- Lead VAT advisory engagements, working directly with Directors/Managing Directors on M&A, due diligence and deal structuring projects.
- Take ownership of key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on complex VAT and transactional matters.
- Build and maintain key client relationships, whilst working closely with the Managing Directors to originate work and support the growth of the practice.
- Drive delivery across pan-European VAT and international supply chain projects, coordinating with global teams where required.
- Provide strategic, commercially focused VAT advice, applying legislation and case law to complex client scenarios.
- Lead on advising clients on VAT structuring for transactions, reorganisations and business change.
- Manage and develop junior team members, including coaching, delegation and technical review.
- Take responsibility of WIP management for your client base.
- Utilise existing and new technology to file VAT returns more efficiently.
Qualifications
- A number of years experience in indirect tax.
- Strong writing, analytical, research and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.
- ACA, ADIT or CTA qualified.
