About the Role
Join the RAC. Together, we’re going places. As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. Working hours are 40 hours per week with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday–Saturday availability and occasional Saturdays.
Salary: Base £40,170, up to £52,000 with bonuses and premium‑rate overtime. Guaranteed overtime option is available after the first month at £30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and checks.
- Manage stock and reporting.
- Deliver customer service, build relationships and represent the RAC with pride.
- Handle a variety of fixes and challenges on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
