An independent, RCVS-accredited small animal practice in Brentwood, Essex, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and highly skilled first and second opinion team. Established in 2019, the practice is committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care and has achieved Gold status from the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic.
About the Practice
The practice operates as part of a virtual referral centre, giving you access to specialist consultants across multiple disciplines. Its state of the art facilities include:
- CT scanner and Digital X-ray
- Ultrasound and in house laboratory
- Dental suite with X ray
- Endoscopy unit and full ophthalmology kit
- Advanced surgical and diagnostic equipment
The caseload is diverse, encompassing small animals, exotics and specialist referrals, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
The Role
The ideal candidate is an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is RCVS registered and:
- Holds a dental certificate, or
- Has a strong interest in medical cases (certificate not required)
Job details:
- Full time 4 day week (40 hours/week)
- 1:4/5 weekend rota (Saturdays 9am-5pm, Sundays 9am-2pm)
- No out of hours duties
- Part time applications are welcome
The successful candidate will work alongside a skilled team, including an Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology, a vet with a Post Graduate Certificate in Exotic Medicine, experienced nurses and reception staff.
