The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

As a HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of the Group HSEQ Team, reporting to the Transformation Manager. You will be responsible for promoting compliance, supporting operational teams, and driving continual improvements across the HSEQ Function. You will be responsible for escalating issues appropriately, ensuring employees understand the risks and requirements associated with their work, and promoting strong document control and system compliance. In addition, you will assist in delivering HSEQ development projects aligned with the wider HSEQ Business Plan, contribute to integration activities for new acquisitions, and support Occupational Health escalations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the HSEQ Business Plan, helping drive continuous improvement and strategic initiatives across the function.
  • Contribute to HSEQ Development projects under the direction of the Transformation Manager and Head of HSEQ.
  • Support the integration of new acquisitions, helping embed HSEQ systems, processes and cultural expectations.
  • Support Occupational Health escalations, ensuring timely referral to the third party provider and appropriate follow up.
  • Ensure that safety and compliance standards are maintained, and any issues are addressed immediately, including completion of due diligence checks for new subcontractors.
  • Complete verification inspections and follow up on closure of findings/non-conformances.
  • Support the accident and incident investigations, and promote good quality reporting and timely closure.
  • Encourage and complete unsafe acts/conditions and positive intervention reporting.
  • Complete a weekly and monthly report on achievements and issues identified.
  • Communicate and drive an efficient close out of corrective actions raised by the Compliance Department and external auditors.
  • Work with the wider operational team to maintain strong relationships and improve processes/systems where possible.
  • Drive the correct and safe behaviours out on-site and within the office.
  • Support training and competency requirements, ensuring contracts achieve the highest standards of training compliance.
  • Assist the Group HSEQ Team with accreditations and provide support where required, with standards, including ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 etc.

Experience and Qualifications

  • H&S qualification e.g. NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience of having worked in the Utilities or Construction sectors (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
