About the Role
Reporting to the site's HSE Manager, you'll support and improve Health, Safety and Environmental performance. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing the site's HSE strategy and proactively looking for new, improved ways of working to continue to drive standards.
- Spending time around the site, engaging with colleagues at all levels to embed a positive, safety-first culture.
- Carrying out risk assessments, training and advising managers and their teams on best practice, and challenging behaviours when appropriate.
- Investigating and reporting on incidents and putting corrective actions in place.
- Assisting with HSE reporting, audits, customer requests, and other compliance-related documentation.
About You
- Experience of working in a Health & Safety role in a manufacturing environment, with Food, Drink, or FMCG being preferred.
- Demonstrable background in making tangible improvements and making a positive impact from a health & safety perspective.
- Confident engaging with and influencing colleagues at all levels.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise a busy workload and produce accurate reports and documentation.
- NEBOSH qualified, or with equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Environmental qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
