Earn up to £18.10p/hour. Join our team as a Sous Chef, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences. You'll be working closely in a small, supportive team alongside the Head Chef, covering daily hospitality requirements and weekly events. This position requires strong culinary skills, operational awareness, and the ability to manage both people and processes in a fast-paced retail/hospitality environment. This is a Monday to Friday role with a 7:00am start, with occasional early mornings and some evening flexibility for events.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of weekly events
- Prepare and present dishes to fine dining quality
- Support budgeting and cost management processes
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team when required

- Proven experience in fine dining or premium hospitality environments
- Strong cooking skills with the ability to work across all kitchen sections
- Ability to train, motivate, and lead kitchen staff
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of food costs, GP, and operational financial impacts
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and industry best practice
