We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals to join our kitchen team as Kitchen Hand / Kitchen Porter. This role is essential in supporting the smooth, efficient running of our kitchen and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation and teamwork. This is a zero hours position, with shifts offered in line with business needs. Weekend availability is particularly important, as these are some of our busiest times.

What you'll be doing:

  • Wash, dry and store dishes, cutlery, pans and kitchen equipment to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly
  • Maintain clean, tidy and well organised kitchen, wash up and back of house areas
  • Clean work surfaces, floors, equipment and storage areas in line with hygiene and safety standards
  • Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation such as peeling, chopping and ingredient prep
  • Help with deliveries, including unpacking and storing stock safely and correctly
  • Support stock rotation and ensure ingredients are stored appropriately
  • Empty bins and manage waste following company procedures
  • Assist chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Follow cleaning schedules and report any maintenance or hygiene concerns

What we're looking for:

  • Calm, efficient approach during busy service periods
  • Willingness to learn, take direction and support the wider kitchen team
  • Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is helpful but not essential
  • Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Good attention to detail, especially around cleanliness and hygiene
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Access to transport due to our rural location
