Agincare is looking for a dedicated Administrator for the Cheriton Care Home in Dorchester, Dorset. The role is 40 hours per week and involves telephone communication, appointment scheduling, maintaining office diaries, and ensuring readiness for audits.

Job responsibilities

  • Answer the telephone, take and relay messages and direct calls to the appropriate person
  • Maintain the office diary, scheduling of appointments and meetings as required and do so with access to the manager's Outlook calendar
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and other professionals such as GP, DN and others who may visit the home
  • Understand arrangements for safeguarding residents against the risk of abuse, identifying the possibility of abuse and responding appropriately
  • Ensure all files are up to date and ready for audit
  • Attend staff meetings as required to take minutes for dissemination of information about the service and service development, peer support and exchange of ideas

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • Self motivated and organised, with experience in an administrative function, ideally in the Health & Social Care industry

  • Good level of IT competency
